About

Westside Strikers Football Club is a community-focused, family-oriented football club built on the values of family, development, opportunity and belonging.

Based in Caroline Springs and proudly representing Melbourne’s West, Westside Strikers was established in 2014 with a simple vision: to create a football club where children and families could come together, develop a lifelong passion for the game and feel part of a genuine community.

From those beginnings as a small junior football club, Westside has grown into one of the largest community football clubs in Melbourne’s West, now home to more than 600 registered players and participants across our MiniRoos, junior, youth and senior programs.

Our growth has seen Westside evolve into a genuine whole-of-club football pathway. We introduced our Senior Men’s program in 2018, our Senior Women’s program in 2024, and expanded further with two Metropolitan Men’s teams in 2025.

Today, Westside provides opportunities for players across MiniRoos, junior boys and girls, youth, Senior Men, Senior Women and Metropolitan football, creating a pathway for players to remain part of the club from their earliest years through to senior football.

A Club Built on Development

At Westside, football development is about more than results on the weekend.

We recognise the importance of developing players from an early age, including their technical ability, decision-making and perceptual-cognitive development. Our aim is to provide players with an environment that challenges them to learn and improve while maintaining the enjoyment and love of football that brings people to the game in the first place.

Our coaches, technical staff and volunteers work to provide a structured pathway that supports players throughout their football journey, from their first experience with the game through junior and youth football and ultimately into our senior programs.

Our Mission

Our mission is to positively impact our local community through football by creating a lifelong passion for the game and providing a safe, inclusive, positive and professional environment where players and families can thrive.

We aim to:

  • Provide a clear football pathway from MiniRoos through to senior football.
  • Develop players technically, tactically, physically and cognitively.
  • Continue expanding opportunities and pathways for girls and women in football.
  • Create an environment where every player feels safe, supported and valued.
  • Support coaches and volunteers with the resources and structure required to succeed.
  • Build strong partnerships with local businesses, organisations and our wider community.
  • Celebrate achievement while ensuring development, participation and enjoyment remain central to our club.
  • Create a football community that players and families want to remain part of for life.

Westside Strikers has come a long way since 2014.

With 600+ players, expanding junior and senior programs, a rapidly growing female football pathway and championship success across multiple age groups, we enter our next chapter with enormous pride in where we have come from and ambition for where we are going.

But no matter how large Westside becomes, the foundations remain the same:

Family. Football. Community.

One Club. One Family.

Family and togetherness have always been at the heart of Westside Strikers.

For more than a decade, generations of committee members, coaches, volunteers, players, parents and supporters have contributed countless hours to building the club we have today. That history has created a strong culture of family, loyalty, hard work and belonging.

We are proud of our heritage and equally proud to be a multicultural club that welcomes everyone in our community. Regardless of background, culture, gender or football experience, Westside is a place where people can belong.

As the club has grown, those foundations have remained unchanged.

A Historic 2026 Season

The 2026 season represented another major step forward for Westside Strikers, with outstanding achievements across our junior, youth and senior programs.

Our Senior Women were crowned State League 3 Champions and Premiers, earning promotion to State League 2 for the 2027 season. The achievement was particularly significant for a program that was only established in 2024 and reflects the rapid development of women’s football at Westside.

Success extended throughout the club, with multiple Westside teams finishing at or near the top of their respective competitions.

Our Under 18 Boys were crowned Champions, demonstrating the strength of our youth pathway and providing another important link between junior development and senior football.

Our Under 12 Girls were also crowned Champions, marking another significant achievement for our growing girls’ program and reinforcing our commitment to creating genuine opportunities and pathways for female players.

Our Men’s Reserves were also Champions in 2026, adding further senior silverware to an exceptional season for the club.

These achievements are a reflection not only of the players on the field, but of the coaches, team managers, volunteers, families and supporters who contribute to Westside every week.

While trophies are something we are extremely proud of, success at Westside will always be measured by more than silverware. Our goal is to develop players, create opportunities and build teams and programs capable of achieving sustained success.
